STATISTICS/ANALYTICS

Alienation Design provides graphical daily web site statistics on all sites hosted on our servers. These statistics can be accessed live from Alienation Publish. From these logs the pages visited, number of visits etc., can be determined in real-time.

Publish also allows you to add tracking codes (from services such as Google Analytics) so you can access site statistics in a number of ways.

  • hits - total number of requests to the server.
  • origin  - How visitors have got to your site. e.g. Direct Address/Bookmarks, Links from a Newsgroup, Links from an Internet Search Engine, Links from other websites
  • search - Displays key phrases & key words that visitors have searched on in order to find your site.
  • bandwidth used
  • monthly history - Displays a graph and breakdown of unique visitors, number of visits, pages served, hits and  bandwidth per month for the chosen year. These statistics are broken down further for the days of the chosen month, for the days of the week and for the hours of a day.
  • countries  - The domain type users comes from. e.g. .com, .org, etc., or from which country users come from.
  • hosts - These are the web ‘addresses’ of visitors to your website.
  • robots/spiders visitors - Robots and spiders are automated tools that trawl the web looking at web pages. “Googlebot” is the Google version of one of these tools.
  • visits duration
  • file type
  • viewed - Lists the pages visited on the site. A rough estimation of entry and exit pages is shown (the first page people visit on the site and the last page they see).
  • operating systems
  • browsers
